The velvet layer of the 2-layered collar and the velvet trimmings on the 2 front pockets gives this vest a very Gothic look. The brocade and long tuxedo tails makes it scintilla-tingly Steampunk. Oriental knots secure the under vest, which looks like a separate piece, but is all part of the jacket, giving the illusion of an ornate shirt underneath a sleeveless vest.
