Details:
Melbourne’s most atmospheric vampire event returns in 2025 — and if past years are anything to go by, expect sold-out tickets and jaw-dropping outfits. The venue fills fast, so it’s worth arriving early if you want good lighting for photos or time to browse the roaming mystics before the stage shows begin.

This year’s entertainment includes:

• Venus Vamp – Ritual dancer
• Sasha Cuha – Folkloric musician
• Moxie Delight – Drag and burlesque
• Roaming Mystics – Tarot and fortune reading

Canapés and a grazing table will be available throughout the night, alongside a full-service cash bar. While seating is limited, the focus is on movement, mingling, and theatrical atmosphere.

Ironfest isn’t just a festival — it’s a full-blown alternate universe. Held in the mountainous town of Lithgow, it draws in thousands each year across all subcultures: from Victorian vampires and medieval knights to industrial punks and steampunk aristocrats.

The vibe is immersive, welcoming, and chaotic in the best way. If you’re into dramatic Gothic fashion or dark fantasy style, you'll feel right at home among the black lace, corsets, leather armour, and painted faces. Expect roaming performers, battlefield re-creations, fire shows, and the occasional winged creature gliding past your picnic blanket.

Dark Mofo is unlike anything else on the Australian festival calendar. Held during Hobart’s coldest weeks, it turns the city into a moody playground of strange art, live music, fire installations, and pagan-inspired ritual.

If you've ever walked the harbour at night during the festival, you’ll remember the way the red floodlights wash over sandstone buildings and how even the quiet corners feel theatrical. Some visitors come for the headline music acts, others just to take it all in — the processions, the bonfires, the surreal performance art, or the infamous nude solstice swim.

It’s raw, intense, and unapologetically weird — and that’s exactly why it keeps growing every year. Perfectly family friendly, there are prizes on offer for the two best dresses attendees, so get your best costume ready and be prepared to go all out!

GOLDFIELDS GOTHIC FESTIVAL 2025 (VIC)

A slight change from previous years, this annual festival is now being run by the lovely and dedicated local Maldon community! Held in the gorgeous town of Maldon Victoria, your Maldon friends will welcome you warmly to this event for the Steampunk, Lolita, or Goth fashion community!

A smaller scale event than previous years, the now intimate weekend is sure to be a fun and exciting time for all Gothic fashionistas who join in the fun. Keep your eye on the website for further information to be provided regarding the new event format
